Transportation Expert to Testify on Mileage-Based User Fees for Georgia
Atlanta– Robert Poole, director of transportation policy at Reason Foundation and a Senior Fellow at the Georgia Public Policy Foundation, will testify on mileage-based user fees today at 2 p.m. before a Georgia Legislature Joint Study Committee, the Georgia Commission on E-Commerce & Freight Infrastructure Funding.
Poole is the lead author of “Driving Change: The Promise of Per-Mile Charges for Georgia Transportation,” a study released today and co-authored by Benita Dodd, vice president of the Georgia Public Policy Foundation.
The committee hearing is scheduled for 2 p.m. in CLOB 310 and will be streamed live. Access the agenda here. Poole will be available to the media for questions after his testimony.
