The Georgia Public Policy Foundation’s next Leadership Breakfast, at 8 a.m. on Thursday, April 26, features two legislators at the forefront of the bipartisan campaign for school choice in Georgia: Rep. Jan Jones, Speaker Pro Tempore of the Georgia House of Representatives, and Georgia House Rep. Alisha Thomas Morgan, speaking on, “Choice Matters: Expanding Educational Opportunity.”
The event at Cobb County’s Georgian Club will provide an overview of the education issues addressed by the Legislature in 2012 and what lies ahead. The Georgia General Assembly voted for school choice during the session, passing legislation to give voters a say on state-authorized public charter schools.
