Rethinking America’s Highways, A Policy Briefing Luncheon and Book Forum

August 30, 2018 @ 11:30 am - September 21, 2018 @ 1:00 pm

Bob Poole, Director of Transportation Policy at the Reason Foundation and a renowned expert on surface transportation, has advised four administrations on infrastructure. His landmark 1988 policy paper paved the way for privately financed toll lanes to relieve congestion. He oversaw the study that led to HOT lanes, a transportation option Georgia has embraced.

Poole, who is also a Georgia Public Policy Foundation Senior Fellow, will discuss his new book, “Rethinking America’s Highways,” at an 11:30 AM Policy Briefing Luncheon and Book Forum at the Georgian Club on Friday, September 21.

Registration is $50. A limited number of books are available for pre-order at the discounted price of $20.

About the Georgia Public Policy Foundation: The Foundation, established in 1991, is a nonprofit, independent, state-focused think tank that proposes market-oriented approaches to public policy to improve the lives of Georgians. The Think Tanks and Civil Society Program has ranked the Foundation as one of the “Best Independent Think Tanks” in its 2017 Global Go-To Think Tank Index, released in February 2018. Regular events include Leadership Breakfasts and Policy Briefing Luncheons. Weekly publications are the Friday Facts and Friday Idea commentaries.
