The Georgia Public Policy Foundation has named Rogers Wade recipient of its 2011 Freedom Award which is presented to a Georgian who has exemplified the principles of private enterprise and personal integrity.   Mr. Wade is chairman of the Foundation, former chief of staff to U.S. Senator Herman Talmadge and a current adviser to Governor Nathan Deal and U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson.  Mr. Wade serves on many public sector boards and he has long advocated and supported U.S. military troops through his USO involvement. The Foundation should take a lot of pride in your influence on Georgia governmental policy over the past several years. If you look back on several things that you were crying in the wilderness about several years ago, you will find that Governor Miller adopted them…your influence and your pressure on that process has been a major factor in governmental policy in Georgia. You should be congratulated.
