Foundation Announces 2 Upcoming Events
Atlanta – The Georgia Public Policy Foundation is pleased to announce two upcoming events:
The Foundation’s Leadership Breakfast at 8 a.m. on February 26 at Cobb County’s Galleria Centre, “The Case for the Compact for a Balanced Budget Amendment,” is keynoted by constitutional scholar Nick Dranias of the Goldwater Institute. This event is open to the public and is $25 to attend. Find out more at http://tinyurl.com/k55zeht; register online by Monday, February 24 at http://bit.ly/LewuTz. Media interested in attending please contact Benita Dodd.
The Foundation’s 2014 Annual Reception and Dinner, keynoted by Daniel Garza, executive director of the LIBRE Initiative, is March 5 at the Galleria Centre. Garza’s knowledge of the plight of the immigrant community has earned him a reputation as an advocate on behalf of Hispanics and Latinos for sound, market-based public policy. A former White House staff member, he has been featured in Fox News Latino’s “Ten Young Latinos in Politics to Watch in 2013” and Polymic’s list of “10 Political Rising Stars you Should Know About in 2013.” This annual fund-raiser is open to the public; tickets are $125 per person.
Thank you for what you are doing to lead the nation. The Georgia Public Policy Foundation is leading the way. This is truly one of the leading lights in the state think tank movement. Excellent ideas. It’s well run. For those of you who are donors I congratulate you on your wisdom and I encourage you to do it and do it more.
